What are the questions that Valley Tile customers ask the most?

 1.)  There are so many choices!  Where do I begin?  It depends on the area you’re doing. It will be different for a foyer and a kitchen, for example. It depends on the size, style and function of the room. The best thing is to work with a designer who’s been trained in tile and natural stone.

2.)  Can you use big tile in a small space?    Yes, it will make the space seem larger because it’s not so “busy”.

3.)  Can you use tile outside?   It has to be porcelain tile which is frost proof, or natural stone.

4.)  Is natural stone hard to maintain?  It should be sealed at the original installation.

5.)  Can I install my own tile or stone?  Yes but be very careful  that you’re using the right products for the right application or it you can make an expensive mistake.

6.)  What is the difference between ceramic and porcelain?  Porcelain is stronger, more durable.  Ceramic tile chips and cracks easily.

7.)  How do I find an installer?  We will be happy to refer a contractor(s) who we would use in our own homes.  We suggest you get more than one estimate.
